About Sephani

Sephani is a direct-to-consumer and wholesale nightwear brand manufactured in Delhi. We started in 2022 and have since shipped across Myntra, Nykaa, Ajio, Flipkart, and our own website at sephani.co.in.

We design and manufacture in-house. There is no middleman between our factory and the retailer, which is how we keep wholesale pricing competitive without compromising on fabric or stitching.

Our range focuses entirely on women's cotton nightwear: maxi nightgowns, knee-length nightgowns, night suits, co-ord sets, kaftans and kids' nightwear. Everything is 100% cotton.

Our wholesale nightgown range

We currently offer 30+ nightgown designs available for wholesale. The range covers two main styles:

Ruffle-neck and lace-neck maxi nightgowns

Short sleeve or flutter sleeve, full length, round neck with ruffle or lace trim. These are our entry-to-mid wholesale tier. Available in 15+ prints including florals, checks, geometrics and solids. Retail price Rs 799 to Rs 949. These are our fastest-moving wholesale designs for retailers in tier-2 and tier-3 cities.

Lace-yoke premium maxi nightgowns

3/4 sleeve or full sleeve, full length, with a floral lace yoke panel at the neckline. Available in solid colours (beige, green, dusty pink, sky blue) and select prints. Retail price Rs 1,299 to Rs 1,499. These move best in metro and tier-1 city boutiques and as gifting inventory,we also assure that no one else can replicate our patterns andd products and designs of our store

We also supply knee-length nightgowns, hosiery nightgowns, night suits, co-ord sets and kids nightwear on the same wholesale terms.

Fabric and quality: what every retailer needs to know

The most common complaint we hear from retailers about nightwear suppliers is fabric that looks good in photos but disappoints in person, and customer returns because garments shrank in the first wash. Here is how we handle both.

Fabric

All our nightgowns are 100% cotton. The ruffle-neck and lace-neck range uses a medium-weight woven cotton at 110 to 120 GSM, sufficient for opacity and year-round comfort across most Indian climates. The lace-yoke premium range uses a slightly denser weave at 120 to 130 GSM, which gives a better drape and hand-feel for the higher price point.

Shrinkage

Our fabric is finished to reduce first-wash shrinkage. Retailers who have had trouble with returns because nightgowns shrank after the customer's first wash will find this matters a great deal. Print durability

We use reactive dye printing on all printed designs. Colour is bonded into the fibre rather than sitting on top, which means prints hold up after repeated washing. Pigment-printed stock looks fine in photos and on the shelf but fades within a season of regular use, which generates returns and complaints. Our reactive-dye prints do not have that problem.

Stitching

Overlocked seams throughout. Reinforced neckline and shoulder stitching. Proper elastic and drawstring casings where applicable. We inspect every batch before dispatch.

Size range

M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL and 4XL across most designs. Indian sizing, not generic Asian sizing. This matters for retailers whose customers are often turned away by brands that only go to XL or 2XL.

Wholesale pricing and MOQ

We accept bank transfer (NEFT/RTGS), UPI, and Razorpay for wholesale orders. First-time buyers typically pay in advance. Established buyers with a track record can discuss credit terms.

Size range and availability

Most designs are available in M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL and 4XL. Some designs extend to 4XL for the plus-size segment, which is significantly underserved in the wholesale nightwear market, also if you want 5XL in any size there would be overhead customisation charges to be paid 

Shipping and delivery across India

We dispatch from Delhi within 3 to 5 working days of order confirmation and payment. We ship via Delhivery, XpressBees, and DTDC depending on the destination pin code. Typical delivery timelines:

• Delhi NCR: 1 to 2 days
• North and West India (Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Chandigarh): 2 to 4 days
• South India (Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kochi): 4 to 6 days
• East India (Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Guwahati): 5 to 7 days
• Tier-2 and tier-3 cities: add 1 to 2 days

Shipping cost is charged at actuals and added to the invoice. For large orders above 50 kg, we negotiate freight rates directly with the courier and pass the saving on.

How to place a wholesale order

2. Contact us with your requirement. Tell us which designs you want, how many pieces per design, and the size breakdown you need. WhatsApp 9811339397 is the fastest way to get a response. You can also call on the same number.
3. Receive a proforma invoice. We will send you a PI with final pricing, GST, and shipping estimate within 24 hours.
4. Confirm and pay. Transfer the amount via NEFT, UPI or Razorpay link. We confirm receipt and move to packing.
5. Dispatch and tracking. We dispatch within 3 to 5 working days and share the tracking number on WhatsApp.

For repeat orders, the process is faster. Most established buyers place orders over WhatsApp in under 10 minutes once they know our range.

Common questions from retailers

What is the minimum order quantity for nightgowns?

12 pieces per design. You can mix sizes within a design. There is no minimum on the total order value, but most retailers find 3 to 5 designs (36 to 60 pieces) makes for a balanced opening order.

Do you do custom branding or private label?

Yes, for orders above 500 pieces. We can apply your brand label in place of the Sephani label, and for very large volumes we can discuss custom packaging. Contact us to discuss.

Can I see samples before placing a bulk order?

Yes. Sample pieces are available at retail price plus courier. 

Do you supply outside India?

Currently we focus on the Indian domestic market. International enquiries from Indian diaspora businesses in UAE, UK, USA and Australia are welcome but we handle them case by case on retail through online marketplaces like etsy and amazon.com

What is the GST rate on nightgowns?

Cotton nightwear falls under HSN 6108, attracting 5% GST for garments priced below Rs 1,000 and 12% GST for garments priced at Rs 1,000 and above. We invoice with GST breakdowns. You will need your GSTIN to claim input tax credit.

How do I pay for wholesale orders?

NEFT, RTGS, UPI or Razorpay link. We do not offer credit terms to first-time buyers. Established buyers can discuss deferred payment after two or three successful transactions.

Can I return unsold stock?

We do not accept returns on wholesale stock. We do replace defective pieces on a case-by-case basis if the defect is reported within 7 days of delivery with photos.
